Project at a Glance

  • LAX approached us with the goal of modernizing their operations and creating a more cohesive experience for their 40,000+ employees. At the time, the airport lacked a strong, unified branding system, which made internal communication and employee engagement challenging. Our mission was to develop a digital platform and visual identity that would streamline operations, improve access to essential tools, and create a sense of connection among staff.

  • We quickly identified a vital and clear need to create a comprehensive digital experience that would effectively connect employees to the airport environment, providing seamless and easy access to essential tools and content while elevating the overall experiences of both the employee and the traveler.

    By establishing a clear, modern branding system and meticulously integrating it into a user-friendly app, we significantly enhanced employee engagement and contributed positively to the overall efficiency, effectiveness, and spirit of LAX.

Impactful Posters

For the launch of LAWA’s new Altitude employee app, I designed a series of promotional posters to boost user interaction and encourage downloads. The posters highlighted key app features, making it easy for employees to understand the app's value at a glance. Each design was carefully crafted to align with LAWA’s branding while ensuring the messaging was clear and engaging. To create balance, I also developed supporting posters designed as visual rest elements, strategically placed within a poster wall to provide a cohesive yet dynamic visual experience, keeping the overall display visually engaging without overwhelming the viewer.


A Uniquely LAX User Journey

We designed custom illustrations to visually enhance the User Journey for LAX employees, making it easier to highlight key moments throughout their workday. Each illustration was thoughtfully crafted to represent different stages of the employee's daily routine, showcasing how the app's features could be utilized to streamline tasks, improve communication, and increase overall efficiency. These custom visuals not only provided a clear, engaging narrative but also reinforced the app’s functionality, ensuring that users could easily see the practical benefits of each feature in their day-to-day work.

Designing the Next Phase

After the successful launch of the LAWA employee app, we were invited to take the next step—exploring the visual direction for a guest app. This opportunity allowed us to shift our focus toward a broader audience, developing a design that would cater to travelers, visitors, and external users. The goal was to create a visually engaging, user-friendly experience that remained consistent with LAWA’s established brand identity while introducing new elements that resonated with a public audience.
